Conspirators foiled efforts to resolve Kashmir issue: Nawaz

Chief of his own faction Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that a band of conspirators attacked Kargil to foil his efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue. While addressing a public gathering in Kotli, Nawaz said that the Kashmir issue would have been resolved had his efforts not been sabotaged. He said that the Indian prime minister had visited Pakistan after the nuclear blast and had asked him to declare 1999 as the year of Kashmir resolution. Nawaz said that the country was passing through difficult times, but he would fight like a lion for the achievement of rights.
