Former President of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan said on Monday that the court had issued verdict against former premier Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on the basis of challan.
Talking to media persons outside Supreme Court building after the hearing of Bhutto Reference case here, he said that he welcomed the decision of SC to issue notice to Ahmed Raza Kasuri to appear in next hearing in the case.
Aitzaz, who is the associate of the court in ZAB Reference case, said that Kusari was a party in the case and the court should hear him for meeting all principles of the justice.
"We have submitted a petition for revisiting the Bhutto reference case in the Supreme Court on challan basis and the High Court was also hearing the case on challan basis as death sentence against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was issued on challan," Aitzaz Ahsan said.
He said that during the hearing of the case, the federation lawyer Babar Awan gave comprehensive remarks to the court about the Bhutto Reference case, adding that the court heard remarks of all assistances including Babar Awan about the case.
To a question, he said that the court has to review all things including retrial of the case, adding that he would give his detailed point of view to the court when the time comes.
