Govt drops 'petrol bomb'

ISLAMABAD - Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Sunday announced a hefty raise in petroleum prices for the month of November and notification in this regard has been issued.
According to Syed Jawad Naseem, Spokesman for OGRA, an increase of Rs 5.97 per litre was made in petrol rate and the new price will be Rs 72.96 per litre. A raise of Rs 4.5 per litre was announced in the diesel (HSD) price and the new rate is Rs 78.33 per litre.
New price of high octane blending component (HOBC) will be Rs 86.67 with an increase of Rs 7.11 per litre and the new price for kerosene oil will be Rs 70.95 after a hike of Rs 5.15 per litre. New price of light diesel oil (LDO) will be Rs 66.61 with subsequent climb of Rs 4.27 per litre. Similarly, an increase of Rs 4.61 was made in JP-1 (local) rate and new price will be Rs 60.26 and prices of JP-4 will be Rs 57.45 per litre with an increase of Rs 5.29 per litre. Further, price of JP-8 will be Rs 59.96 of per litre with an increase of Rs 4.61 per litre.
